Tournament Terms, Conditions & Waiver

These Terms & Conditions apply to all participants in events organized by Amity Sports LLC.

  • Individuals: You, or your parent/legal guardian if under 18, are responsible for your participation.

  • Teams: The coach and their club or school organization are responsible for all players and spectators associated with the team.

Assumption of Risk

Participation in basketball and related athletic activities involves inherent risks that may result in injury, illness, disability, or death. These risks include, but are not limited to, falls, collisions with other participants, physical exertion, equipment-related incidents, or other circumstances. By participating, participants voluntarily assume all risks associated with the activity.

Medical Certification

  • Individuals: Participants certify that they, or the minors for whom they are registering, are physically capable of participating in athletic activities and understand that participation is voluntary.

  • Teams: By registering a team, the coach certifies that all players on the team are physically capable of participating in athletic activities and that participation is voluntary.

Rules & Conduct

All participants, coaches, and spectators must abide by all rules and decisions made by Amity Sports LLC. Coaches or individuals are responsible for ensuring appropriate conduct and sportsmanship. Amity Sports LLC reserves the right to remove any individual or team for misconduct without refund.

Payment & Scheduling

Amity Sports LLC reserves the right to modify schedules, divisions, or tournament format as necessary.

Assumption of Risk & Liability

Participation is at the participant’s or team’s own risk. Participants, coaches, or clubs/organizations agree that Amity Sports LLC, the host school, the school district, and all employees, staff, volunteers, referees, contractors, and representatives shall not be held liable for any injuries, accidents, or damages to participants, spectators, or personal property, including travel to and from the event location.

Indemnification

Participants or teams assume all risks associated with participation and agree to indemnify and hold harmless Amity Sports LLC, the host school, school district, and their employees, staff, volunteers, referees, contractors, and representatives from any claims, legal actions, damages, or expenses arising out of participation in the tournament.

Property Responsibility

Participants or teams are responsible for any damage caused by themselves, their players, coaches, or spectators to the facility or property during the event.

Parental Authority

If registering as an individual minor participant, the parent or legal guardian confirms they have the authority to agree to this waiver on the minor’s behalf.
